Nick Carver, Taylor Pendleton, Mitchell Kanashkevich, Luke Stackpoole, Jason Kummerfeldt, Lizzie Peirce, Thomas Heaton, Robin Schimko, Alex Strohl, and Mike Chudley are some of the most interesting and influential photographers alive. We learn about their artistic process in finding beauty where no one else is looking. Frames From Andalucía is a documentary short film following 10 of the most important photographers around the south of Spain.

“In this project we feature some of the most talented photographers in the World. We travel around Andalucía with Nick Carver, Taylor Pendleton, Mitchell Kanashkevich, Luke Stackpoole, Jason Kummerfeldt, Lizzie Peirce, Thomas Heaton, Robin Schimko, Alex Strohl, and Mike Chudley learning about their artistic process in finding beauty where no one else is looking.

As the director of the film I was worried that it could be repetitive to see 10 people doing basically the same thing but in different places. So I tried to find the differences between their personalities and styles and take use it to change directing styles for each photographer. I was amazed by how differently each one of them approached their art. So, for example we used hand held, wide lenses, 4:3 format, "in-your-face! kind of punk style for street photographers such as Taylor Pendleton on one hand and still tripod shots on telephoto lenses and widescreen format for landscapes photographer Nick Carver on the other (and everything in between for the rest of them). Each of the 10 chapters has a different style according to each personality.”
