“Rubbish Shoes” By Sam Rowland-Lê

Destined for landfill, end-of-life running shoes are saved and reborn thanks to Ultrarunner Dan Lawson.

FROM THE DIRECTOR

“I’d been following Dan Lawson and his achievements as an ultrarunner for a while online and was always impressed with the commitment and passion he and his partner Charlotte showed to their charity project ReRun.

ReRun was a project that saved running equipment from going to landfill by repairing/up-cycling items then finding new homes for them.

When Dan started Rubbish Shoes last year, an offshoot of Rerun, I saw the opportunity to finally make a film with him and help spread their message about over-consumption, sustainability and brand green-washing.
