“Aloïse Sauvage | Montagnes russes” by Zenzel
To create a visual for this song, the idea was to create a focus on the artist and her speech.
Helped by small VFX and the interpretation of Aloise, Zenzel worked on a physical transformation of the artist who, throughout the film, evolves to become a little more what she is. As her name suggests, she is "Sauvage" (wild in French.)
The idea was to have as few things as possible. a single travelling shot, an artist, a speech.
The song expresses what Aloïse wants to become, an accomplished artist.
FROM THE DIRECTOR
“Aloise is a multidisciplinary artist. I previously directed three films for her, working around dancing, acting, and acrobatics. The intention, this time, was to emphasize the narrative and to develop Aloise's character throughout the video, achieved by the body transformation of the artist.
I felt that working only with sequence shot was creating sincerity. Thereby, I wanted to place Aloise in the center of the image, integrating a few vfx, enabling me to provide a visual to the lyrics"
