“Dark Fire” by Davide Arneodo

Dark Fire is an intense dance short film set in the Messedamm U-Bahn station in Berlin, starring contemporary dancer Filipa Cavaco from Staatsballett Berlin, the biggest company in Germany (77 dancers), the only classically trained ballet ensemble under the umbrella of the Stiftung Oper in Berlin.

The dance becomes an inner spiritual journey and a physical demonstration of the grief, thanks to which the protagonist can escape a toxic relationship, finding her own liberation from pain.

The underpass of the Messedamm at the ICC, a pedestrian tunnel between the International Congress Centrum, the bus station and the next S-Bahn station was designed by architect Rainer Gerhard Ruemmler. With its 70's design in bright orange, the tunnel is the perfect setting to bring out the contrast between light and darkness and create a contemporary look with a vintage aesthetic.

After being described as captivating, stunning and complex, from Obscure Sound to Plastic Magazine, La Repubblica and Mystic Sons (to name but a few), electronic artist Perdurabo returns with new single ‘Dark Fire’, taken from upcoming debut album ‘Magnetar’, featuring vocals from Echlo, Canadian singer songwriter Chloe Charles and produced with legendary UK producer Gareth Jones (Depeche Mode, Interpol) and master engineer Matt Colton (Thom Yorke, James Blake) in London.

Chloe says about the song: "It's about loving someone with an addiction. You contort yourself to save them, but eventually you realize your attempts are futile and let them go and ask them to let you go too. Only once you've given up do they beg for your help".

Perdurabo is the moniker of classically trained multi-instrumentalist, electronic music producer, and composer Davide Arneodo. Living between Berlin and Turin, Davide has worked both in the studio and live with some of the biggest names in electronic and rock music, including members of Apparat, Einstürzende Neubauten, and Placebo, playing and releasing records across the world.

As a member of seminal Italian alt-rock band Marlene Kuntz, he contributed to the tremendous impact the band had on the Italian music scene.
