FROM THE DIRECTOR

“Blue” is an emotionally moving piece that marries lush, intricate musical arrangements with introspective, vulnerable lyrics.

Accompanying the track are stunning visuals directed by Jeannel and Lauren Pringle, which intimately chronicle Jeannel and Kelvin Kilonzo in a captivating performance that blends enigmatic performance art with gentle, evocative storytelling.

Touching on the creative inspiration behind the track, Jeannel divulges “‘Blue’ is an homage to the multitudes of love’s stages, to the blissful and soul crushing faces of love, and a tribute to a love I lost, that really shattered me and brought me to the very edge of my own humanness, my sanity and fragility, but above all showed me my capacity to love. There I find strength in the bitter-sweetness of life, knowing the tremendous courage it takes to love and therefore live fully, and I hope it encourages other people too.”
