“LE COULEUR - Moderne, Transgressive et Excessive” by Jean-Vital Joliat
Beyond the Short Official Premiere
In a haunting music video styled as a short film, the dark world of cult rituals is explored, inspired by the Order of the Solar Temple and the Peoples Temple. This immersive narrative delves into themes of psychological manipulation and the search for meaning in moments of despair.
FROM THE DIRECTOR
In this music video, shot like a short film, the dark and mysterious world of sectarian rituals is brought to light. Inspired by both the Order of the Solar Temple, led by Joseph Di Mambro and Luc Jouret, and Jim Jones' Temple of the People, the video recounts with disturbing intensity a ritual culminating in mass suicide by poisoning.
At the heart of this tragedy, one character manages to escape unharmed, leaving us in doubt: was she aware of the sinister plan, or was she simply lucky enough to escape her fatal fate?
Through immersive cinematographic staging, viewers are plunged into the oppressive, hypnotic atmosphere of the cult, where members, guided by blind faith and perverse manipulation, head inexorably towards their tragic end. The project explores themes of psychological manipulation, misguided faith and human tragedy, while offering a poignant reflection on vulnerability and the search for meaning in moments of despair.
