“Nu - Assucena” by Lu Villaça

The music video weaves Assucena's (brazilian transsexual artist) journey from shadow to light and the taking of poetic metaphorical spaces that translate a sense of freedom (which involves identifying oneself in the shadow, courage, loneliness and emotional emancipation) with scenes of different couples (in the most diverse compositions) reaching the sacred space of intimate relationships and touch.

The expansion through sensations and, above all, about self-acceptance and self-love, that we only know when we welcome our own history with affection and discover the pleasure of inhabiting our own skin.

FROM THE DIRECTOR

“This was a very special project in which everyone was deeply involved.

First of all, there was a meeting of souls between Assucena and me. We understood each other in a very subtle way, in a very sensitive dialogue that translated Assucena's process at her current moment of life and career, in this song and throughout her new album, which is: transcendence depends on self-love.

To talk about something so deep and sensitive, I invited my greatest creative partners, women who are great professionals and who I knew would also bring a lot of the own perception and existence experiences to our music video. And because it was an environment that sought this, everyone felt very comfortable collaborating beyond their departments.

In the narrative, Assucena is this entity that seduces and encourages us to surrender, accept and welcome ourselves, while feeding the freedom of sexuality, sensuality, sex in its sacred and profane way.

She is a woman who has already reached a more organic place (metaphorically represented by the forest, the nature), connected to her sensuality, which is one of the great expressions of human creativity.

In this plan, already free, she inspires couples (of the most varied compositions) to seek transcendence in their encounters, to overcome the physical barriers of the walls of a room. To feel bigger than their bodies.

Nude is then the celebration of freedom and personal acceptance.

This whole concept was carried out in partnership with a Visual Engineer studio, with Virtual Production screens and cinebot."
