“SILO” By Phondupe
Trapped in a vivid hallucination of purgatory, a young man is taunted by inner demons and paralyzed through his Dark Night Of The Soul. At the brink of annihilation, an apparition manifests in the flesh to challenge him, as he realizes his strength.
Phondupe’s song 'Silo' was created from a deeply challenging and somewhat space-and-time breaking experience in his life... It was the artist's premonition of his own collapse and subsequent triumph that impelled director Alexander Leeway to explore a story of purgatory, the conflict with inner demons and the annihilation and ascension of a tormented soul.
When we are at our lowest, it’s difficult to understand what is real and what is not - it’s hard to make sense of our thoughts and know which ones we can trust for survival. That uncertainty is often the root of our pain, but it can also be a catalyst for us to transcend our darkness.
