“Y Si Dices Que No” By Lula Miranda x Tiago PZK

Lula is one of the best underground street racers in the suburbs of Buenos Aires. Together with Tiago , her mechanic and best friend, they are unstoppable, they win every competition. Tiago watches over her, protects her. On the day of an important race, a betrayal puts Lula's victory and life at risk.

Directors statement

Since the first time we listened to the song, we decided to be loyal to the lyrics in order to tell the story of this two close friends who can't tell their real feelings to each other. For that reason we started the short film format for the music video. Usually Trap and reggaetón videos focus around the artist singing along a playback, for this videoclip we decided that no lyrics must be sang but focus on the artists as the main characters. We found in the car races at the suburbs of Buenos Aires, the perfect scenario to narrate the tension and heat generated by the neurosis and the silence of the characters keeping the secret. At the same time it was the perfect excuse to turn aside the attention from the love story and unveil it in the middle of the great events along the piece. It was important to us that the viewer faced a narration in which several things are told at the same time so the story was not predictable. We need them to feel that that anything can happen inside that boiling atmosphere.
