“Bestias” by V.R. Rao
Widowed mother Jess takes her young son Jake on a camping trip in the remote wilderness, hoping to reconnect and find solace in nature. But when a sinister Creature begins to prey on her, Jess’s reality starts to unravel. As fear takes hold and her grief resurfaces, she struggles to protect Jake from the lurking terror. What begins as a quiet retreat turns into a desperate fight for survival as Jess is forced to confront whether the real threat lies in the woods—or within herself. Told in a lucid manner, Bestias is ultimately an exploration of fear, grief, and love.
