“LO-VE” by Rahul Vellithodi

Lokesh and Verma sit inside a car, discussing an imminent meeting and everything that it could entail for the younger Verma. Drawing from his many years of experience, Lokesh shares wisdom on not losing your nerve during a crucial time and, in the process, forever staving off regret, which can sometimes be a crumbling burden.

A bouquet of flowers rests on the dashboard, suggesting the intimate and romantic nature of the encounter that is about to take place. The entirety of the conversation unfolds from the fixed frame perspective of a single-take.

As the time approaches will Lokesh be able to motivate Verma to take the final step?

FROM THE DIRECTOR

“This was such a fast and fun shoot for us. We had this idea that the whole film should be made in one shot and hence we had quite a few rehearsals before the final take. All thanks to our beautiful cast and crew we were able to pull this off in a 4 hour schedule and 4th Take is the one we went ahead with. The lighting was mostly natural with just a few punch lights here and there to add characteristics to our Leads. The DOP (Goutham Mohandas) did an excellent job in conveying the idea without losing the Point of Interest. This was such an acting heavy project and both our leads (Ahaad Salman and Manoj Choudhury)did a fantastic job of pulling this off in such a tight schedule. So proud of the whole team and blessed to be working along with such talented people who believe and have so much faith in me. Big shout out to my Producer Ashwin PK and my production house, Visual Entity (visualentity.in) for making this possible.”
