“Night Games” by Emil T. Jonsson

While the mother cries at night because the alcoholic father never comes home from his constant partying and gambling, a young boy escapes into fantasies of rescuing his father from his intoxicated companions and helping him home.

FROM THE DIRECTOR

"Night Games is a personal reflection on my upbringing in a family shaped by addiction and mental health struggles. With this film, I want to shine a light on 'dandelion children'-those who persist despite adversity-while challenging stigmas around difficult family dynamics and celebrating the resilience found in childhood imagination."
