A day in the life of a tenacious teenage girl as she pursues her dream of becoming a socially-conscious slam poet.
Directors statement
My work is animated by a profound interest in people. A desire to tell the stories of those who are often given short shrift by mainstream movies. I'm drawn to idiosyncratic characters with quirky pursuits. Those who don't fit into the hero mold that pervades so many contemporary portrayals. Those who don't win at the end of the story; those who learn to embrace their flaws and foibles as deeply human qualities whilst searching for a meaning and a purpose for their life.
I search for myself in these characters; for a meaning and a purpose for my own life.
