We tell the story of an artist both struggling against and inspired by his environment. He draws power from the Tank Top and reaches a break-through point manifested in his personal style.

“There is friction and flow to how ideas form. Frustration and exaltation; influence and authenticity; it's a contradiction. It's many things at once. The Tank Top captures this multiplicity. It's a blank slate and a scion of fashion history; blunt and intimate; blue-collar and high fashion. I used this project to help me out of a creative slump. Through it, I fell back in love with the creative process. This film is dedicated to those inner and outer worlds.”
