“‘REBELLION NYC’ started with a simple text message between director Oliver Würffell and Sven Marquardt.

“Are you in NYC this summer?”, Sven asked.

“YES.”

The following conversations about Sven’s lifelong dream of shooting a portrait series in NYC sparked the idea to create a unique experience for the audience: a never before seen, intimate look over the shoulder of this true Berlin icon as he overcomes challenges to create the perfect and everlasting 35mm, black&white moment on the gritty streets of New York City.”
