“Rollingwood Drive - Nematode” by Dan Silver

Beyond the Short Official Premiere

A young girl discovers life in a field, while an elderly woman prepares for death.

FROM THE DIRECTOR

"To me, this song presents that feeling where life moves on faster than you were ready for, and how you must watch the world you once knew wither away, as you try your best to live on. I wanted to explore that through the perpetual monotony of an elderly widow’s life proceeding the loss of her husband.

The husband’s existence—both tangibly and spiritually—can be felt around every corner, as if he’s not really gone at all; he’s just waiting patiently for the inevitable reunion with his wife to take place.

The widow’s grieving is passive, where she has accepted the course of life and will do nothing more than to carry on and be content that the space she’s in was once shared with a person special enough to be worth remembering at all.”
