“Vera Jonas Experiment - Hard” by Máté Szombath

Dystopian urban moments from the four main social classes of everyday people, showcase their deeply buried nostalgic emotions at the middle of climate disaster.

A climate disaster insight from the near future with six characters from different classes clothed in future fashion adapted to climate change. They have flashback memories from the halcyon days, before the collapse of the western capitalist system. The parallel destinies meet unexpectedly for a common sacred moment.

FROM THE DIRECTOR

“I felt like this track asked for a video that conveys a greater global meaning and in order to tell that story, I wanted to create a spacey atmosphere shooting slow motion with anamorphic lenses. The lyrics are about the growing eco-anxiety in the world, which I can relate to more and more every day. I wanted to portray some everyday human moments of different peoples with different lives in separate sequences, that come together in the end to become one, when faced with something bigger than themselves.”
