“Home Videos” by Matthew Maffei

Over the course of two days, Jenny becomes more weary of her husbands approach to parenting of their two young boys. While on a trip into the city, her husband, David, reprimands their youngest son, Toby, for running his hand a long a dirty building. Jenny tries bonding with Toby later than night by offering to do something nice the next day. Toby declines saying he is going to film something with his brother, Dana. David and Dana enter the scene as Dana begs his dad to impersonate The Beatles; a scene from "A Hard Days Night." Dana, Toby, and their father begin impersonating The Beatles. Jenny feels alienated.

The next day, David comes home to the boys filming a sword fight in the living room. He yells at them and sends them away. Jenny comes into the room and expresses her frustrations with David and how tough he is on them. They argue about different parenting styles and the effects it has on their children. Meanwhile, Dana and Toby run outside to finish filming their sword fight. David and Jenny continue to fight. Jenny is fed up and David threatens her to leave him. She questions his love for her. Outside, a car screeches down the street. Jenny and David run outside to find Toby on the pavement. His head is bleeding and Dana is crying. They bring him inside while David and Jenny give look at each other with the faces of worried parents.
