“Personal Pizza” by Robert Samuel McMahon

Two worlds collide when Rylee, a pizza delivery driver, delivers to her ex-boyfriend Jesse's new apartment. After an awkward exchange, Rylee finds her car broken into and robbed. Rylee and Jesse must follow the clues to retrieve her stolen goods and readdress the mystery of their relationship.

FROM THE DIRECTOR

“The aim of Personal Pizza was always to make a fun film. Inspired by media such as Scooby-Dooand movies like JJ Abrams' Super 8, I set out to make a film that explores the complexities and immaturities of young relationships, while also creating a fun adventure that mixes horror, thriller, and comedic tones. Striking a balance between characters and worlds that feel lived in and immersive, while also having stakes that matter to the characters and are relatable to audiences is always a difficult task. Emily and Juan truly brought Rylee and Jesse to life with their amazing chemistry. I have always adored films about love and adventure, and I wanted to create a film that captures those feelings in a medium that seems to have pushed those genres away.”
