We hear frightening stats like these reported in mainstream press every day, to the point where they don’t even shock us anymore. It’s easy to forget that there’s a story of human suffering behind every one of these numbers. And the stats are only getting worse.

‘There Must Be Something Better Than This’ seeks to reframe the issue by pointing a lens at the humans behind the stats. A poignant reminder of the emotional turmoil the crisis is having on far too many of us.

The paired back approach in black & white with minimal cuts and long, lingering takes, lends a poetic realism to a highly relevant subject.”
